ATTN BUSY BEES: There is a light at the end of the tunnel...

As most of you know, my schedule is so hectic, never having anytime to commit to anything or anyone and sometimes this can be frustrating for college students who work like me. Sometimes its even more frustrating to the people around me because I cannot guarantee I'll be anywhere at any given point in time. So for those of you who think I am blowing you off... I AM NOT! I would love to have lunch with my friends and spend my hard earned money on shopping and fun instead of school books. I would love to have a life except, my schedule is a wreck!!! So for those of you that share my pain, I am hoping to give you some words of inspiration... Let's start with my schedule first..

Mondays: School from 1-1030PM, 11:00- 3:30 or so AM Study Study Study
Tuesdays: My day off that I usually pick a shift up at work, and if not working, I am studying all day.
Wednesdays: School from 1-7:30, study 8- whenever in the AM
Thursdays: Worky work, sometimes doubles
Fridays: Work work work
Saturday WOOOORRRRRRRRRRRRKKKKKKKKKK
Sunday: Worrrrrrrrrrrrrrkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk USually a double, then study study study

Where in this busy schedule do I have a life?? Well, most of us don't.
When do I sleep? When I can, even if I'm standing up looking awake.
When do I see my family: I do drive by's just to say hi!
When do I eat? I ran into a gas station with a chicken sandwich on Monday... enough said.

People like me... we don't have lives. We're exhausted beyond belief, but that's what keeps us going. I'm a walking zombie and I'm sure there are a lot of you who can relate to this. People often wonder why I am so forgetful and scatter brained: This is why. I really hate to forget the important things, but unless it's written on my forehead, I am most likely going to forget it, even if it is an hour from now. For those of you who are exhausted beyond belief, and are asking yourself is this worth it? The answer is....

YES IT IS!!!

Just remind yourself.... that you are doing this for a reason. Your working so hard, and running yourself into the ground so that you can get an education and a better job so that one day you can do one of two things: Take it easy with a better job or Become a workaholic!!! Just remember, when we work hard, it pays off, because we are all working to get somewhere in life and the amount of work you put in is where you deserve to be. So work it off, live off of the five hour energies, and espressos, sleep when you can, because eventually you'll look back and remember the days when you didn't think that any of it was worth it and you'll say I did it, I finally made it to where I want to be, and look at me now! Your working to make your dreams come true. And if your not: Then Slap your self in the face, wake up, and DO SOMETHING, because you only have one life to live my friends and doing nothing is a waste of that life. Anybody can make that change, it's never too late. So get up and do something to make yourself proud. Live the life of an exhausted college student like I have been for the last SEVEN YEARS (Yes, that's why I am a Van Wilder), and experience the will to want to make things better! You can do it! I only have two more years, because as we all know.... I GOT ACCEPTED INTO THE WCCC NURSING PROGRAM!!!! WOOHOO!

  1. Very true Steph!! I'm so glad I busted my ass in college and suffered a life of being broke, exhausted, mentally drained, stressed, forgetful, and a bitch to those around me so I could have all I do now; a good job that I love, bills paid, days OFF (4 days off a week would have been a vacation in college!!) and financially stable parenthood for Zoey!! People who don't better themselves are missing out on a way better life for them and their families!!
